Hi! I'm Kathy Limerick and I have been the reading specialist at Falmouth since 1987. (You do the math!)  My job is to assist teachers, staff, students, and parents with all aspects of reading and writing.  I work with small groups of students to improve reading/writing skills and it's not unusual to find me in a classroom working with teachers and paraprofessionals on strategy lessons to help their students.  Feel free to contact me by clicking here if you have questions or concerns about your child's reading progress!

Fry's Instant Words are the most common words in English ranked in order of frequency. The first 25 Fry Words make up about a third of all printed material. The first 100 Fry Words make up about half of all written material. These 300 words make up approximately two-thirds of all written material; and an average student learns about 100 of these common sight words each year in first, second and third grade.
